Crawford Race Cars Puts its Daytona Prototype Design to the Test
Denver, NC (August 20, 2002)- Max Crawford, President of Crawford Race
Cars, announced today that initial wind
tunnel testing of its Daytona Prototype has
begun. The Crawford DPO3 underwent its first tests and will continue
to be tested at the Auto Research Center in Mooresville,
North Carolina. “The results of our first tests
have been really encouraging,” Crawford stated.
“The Grand-Am people are really onto something with this concept.” The Grand American Road Racing Association announced in June that the
Crawford DP03 bodywork designs were
approved for construction. Now, Crawford Race Cars
has made those designs a reality in its early wind tunnel tests.
